What is antimicrobial?

An antimicrobial is a substance that acts to inhibit the growth of microorganisms and suppresses microorganism reproduction. The antimicrobial agent is built-in protection for solid products, coatings and fibers.  This provides an added level of protection against damaging microbes such as bacteria, mold and mildew that can cause stains, odors and product deterioration.

Antimicrobial protection is built-in to the product during the manufacturing process.  Antimicrobial protection continuously prevents the uncontrolled growth of microbes that cause stains, odors and product degradation.  It also makes the products easier to clean and keeps them cleaner and fresher between cleanings.
